This system is very simple to use. The subscriber wears a
discreet portable transmitter, either as a necklace, a wrist band
or on a belt clip. When the button the transmitter is pressed, or
the button on the console is pressed an audible alarm sounds for
about a minute. The transmitter has a reported range of about 600
feet. During this time the console dials into the alarm monitor
center.
The alarm center then takes control of the console and
turns it into a speakerphone. The manufacturer states the
microphone on the console is sensitive to about 125 feet with a
normal speaking voice. Staff at the alarm center will ask what
services are requested. If you need an ambulance one will be
called, if you only need to have some assicance from a friend or
neighbor, they will be called for you. When the situation no longer
exists, the device resets.
